About Condensation
In fact, condensation is not a phenomenon unique to lasers,but an objective physical phenomenon. Therefore,for water-cooled lasers, there is virtually no direct relationship between condensation and light emission.
That is, even when the power of the laser is turned off, when the temperature of the housing is low (for example, the cooling water is not turned off), if the temperature and humidity of the environment reaches a certain level, condensation will occur as well.
The following measures can effectively reduce the probability and risk of condensation, which can be considered as appropriate:
1. If the cooling capacity and flow of the water cooler are adequately redundant, the water temperature can be increased by about 1-2°C as appropriate.
2. The external light path (QBH interface) cooling requirements for water temperature is relatively more relaxed, and it is appropriate to properly exceed the dew point.
When the equipment is deactivated, the laser should be disconnected from the AC power and the water cooler should also be turned off.
